What kind of therapist am i?

Let's get to know each other.
Picture
I have provided counseling services for 10+ years. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#MG60396332) in the State of Washington, and a certified Supervisor for mental health clinicians. I am also certified as a Child Mental Health Specialist, Medical Family Therapist, and Adlerian Therapist. I received my bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of British Columbia, and my master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. Additionally, I worked in addiction treatment for nearly a decade, during which time I also was state-licensed as a Chemical Dependency Professional.

Since 2009, I have worked in:
  • Multiple hospitals and collaborative medical settings
  • A sexual assault resource center
  • Mental health programs, including: residential, outpatient, community mental health, and private practice
  • Homeless shelters, and schools
  • Addiction treatment programs
  • Disaster mental health

When describing me, my clients most often reflect on appreciating my approachability, professionalism, experience, affinity for puns and metaphors, and genuine care. Outside of being a therapist, I am a Seattle-born local, forever-learning parent, passionately recreational runner, rookie home-renovator, and persistent adorer of cats.
